Curcumin Boosts Your Brain Health

Curcumin, the chemical found in the curry spice turmeric, could both boost brain power and help prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s disease. A study tested the brain power of more than a thousand Asian people aged between 60 and 93 using a standard test called the Mini Mental State Examination. Those who ate curry even just once every six months had better results than those who said they “never or rarely” ate it.

Harpignies marshals considerable evidence to persuasively argue that we Americans are collectively far less mentally stable, far more corruptible or financially irrational, far druggier, far more covert and kinkier in our sex lives and far zanier in our beliefs than we generally admit, and that a great many of the unspoken assumptions that underlie our media’s discourse are seriously at odds with the reality of people’s lives and ideas
